12 Amazing Paint, Fabric and Knob Combinations for Furniture Makeovers

I am always getting questions from people who want recommendations for what colour to paint pieces of furniture. So today, I’m rounding up 12 Amazing Paint, Fabric and Knob Combinations for furniture makeovers!

Painting furniture is so much fun. It is one of the most cost effective ways to create a custom piece or to reinvigorate something you find at the thrift store, curb side or a garage sale. Fabric and knobs can also make ALL the difference when making over a piece! With the right paint colour, fabric added to the back of a cabinet, the side of drawers or lining shelves you can boost your piece big time (and you typically need less than 2 yards of fabric to get the look!) Of course, switching out knobs with fun and unique knobs with colour and personality is another inexpensive way to add style.

I’ve created this super fun grid for you with paint colours (all from paint lines I’ve used and recommend), fabric (LOTS of fun and inexpensive options) and knobs (have fun y’all!!!!)

The grid goes left to right and each selection has it’s own little personality. The paint selections link to the manufacturer’s page, where you can find retailers near you or (in some cases) order online. You can also select the colour and have it colour matched at your local hardware store and use their recommended cabinet painting paint formula. BUT, all the fabric and knobs are available online and can easily be ordered! Click around and see what you like! 🙂

I’m working on a new piece that will definitely have paint, fabric and knobs and I can’t wait to show it to you!

I hope this guide helps out! Let me know what you think 🙂
