Mother’s Day is less than a week away 🙂 I’m just excited to spend it snuggling with my little family and drinking warm coffee. It’s funny that ever since I shared my last post about mindfulness and Motherhood, I’ve been really considering how I feel about my first Mother’s Day as a Mom. It feels like a big deal and not really a big deal all at the same time.
I now totally get how Moms say they ‘don’t need or want anything special’ on that day – because I don’t either! But I also totally understand the urge to pick up something small as a gift. I spent a bit of time thinking about the types of things I like to receive – most of them are small and inexpensive – ranging from candles to kitchenware, fashion accessories or simple home decor items.
You guys know I’m a simple girl at heart 🙂 I love the “Best Mom” mug mainly because it’s stylish and quirky at the same time. The little herb garden is just my speed – I don’t think it’d stress me out to try to keep a tiny garden like that alive. The ‘calm’ scented candle is just the ticket for even a ten minute ‘alone time’. I light mine almost every night! The I Love you Mommy pillow is just ADORBS … Imagine receiving that from a toddler?! Too cute.
I saw the bedside smartphone vase and immediately thought it was a genius way to blend utility (hello smartphone alarm!) and beauty – I love having flowers near the bed. The Giraffe bookends made me LOL thinking about April the Giraffe also having her first Mother’s Day!
The floral wrist watch is irresistible as is the pink stand mixer. Serving up brussell sprouts would be so much more fun in a polka dot oven dish and every Mamma needs a cute cross body purse for spring. 🙂
So there you have it! All set, right? 😉
