Hope you’ve all had a great weekend. I’m just settling in tonight after a long day at Blog Jam! It’s Atlantic Canada’s only blogging conference and this year I was a speaker. I presented a talk all about the Five Things I Wish I’d Known Before I Started a Blog…and it was super fun. Needless to say, I’m ready for a bit of a rest. The past few weekends have been so full of extra stuff – I’ll be glad when things start to slow down a little.
Which leads me to this ‘announcement’… part of what is helping me slow down and focus on a few other areas of the blog is …. that I’ve brought in The CREATIVE TEAM!! How exciting is that? For the next few months (at least), you’ll be treated to posts, crafts, tutorials and inspiration from four awesome Canadian bloggers. Head to the bio page to check them all out and then scroll down to see the first contributor post project. (You’ll love it, I swear).
Also this week, In The Storyhouse, Jenn and I chatted with Christine Martin of Amidst The Chaos about her experiences as a blogger who was able to start and grow her platform to a full-time job in less than two years. She works with literally HUNDREDS of sponsors to make a living – so our questions to her were about balance, finding time for herself and if she feels it’s all worth it.
You can listen to In The Storyhouse on iTunes and Soundcloud and using the embedded player below.

And now, here’s the latest from DIY Passion this week:
As I mentioned above, I’ve launched the DIY Passion Creative Team! And this Wednesday Darlene from Paper Rose shared her first project with us. I absolutely LOVE it! It’s a DIY Himmeli Style Planter and it’s on my list of things to make 🙂
And now for some of my favorites from last week’s party:
A Fresh Squeezed life explains how to use faux flowers to fill a large vessel. I love how simple this tutorial is …I have a ceramic crock just like that one and I’ll be using this technique for sure!
Sincerely Marie Designs shares this simple tutorial for making a Gingerbread House Wreath. I LOVE THIS! It’s adorable and chic all at the same time!!
And KreativK shows us how to make this stand-out Boho Beaded Wall Hanging… I have a feeling the boho vibe isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!
Let’s get our party on!
