Are you ready to celebrate summer?! This year, it feels like all of Canada is ready to party for the 150th Canada Day Celebrations. It’s been so amazing to see people planning trips across our country and sharing pictures and stories from their ‘true Canadian’ memories.
This is a short and sweet post (more of an announcement really!) – that ECM Media and President’s Choice are teaming up to add to the celebration with a Twitter Party next week on Wednesday, June 21st at 8pm EST.
If you grocery shop in Canada, then you know about PC Products. Each season they launch a new Insider’s Collection online with seasonal goodies and treats that are delicious and easy to prepare. My family has been enjoying these tasty treats for YEARS!! I know I’m not alone. In fact, my Gramma Chippy used to lovingly say “The Prez is the Chef in charge tonight!” on lazy summer Saturdays at the family cottage.
For this special summer of 2017 – the offerings are AMAZING!!! (And you all know that I’m not a super great cook!) The beverage selection is really fun – with new cold brewed coffee, hibiscus iced tea (my favourite for a quick treat midday) and new de-alcoholized Radlers!! I may or may not have done an InstaStory lamenting that these Radlers weren’t out last summer when I was pregnant. They are a delicious and sweet blend of lemonade and de-alcoholised beer. Worth the try FOR SURE.
They’ve added some neat products for the actual grill – including Shrimp Burgers. I grilled some up at my parent’s house last weekend. I recommend a flat bread style bun for these to let the flavour pop. And these Canadiana stuffed burgers… ummmmm….. Get in my belly!! 😛 As you may have seen, LB and I were travelling and just arrived back home late Tuesday night. We tossed a few of these on the grill and chowed down in the back yard. (BTW – make sure you have a look at my post about our backyard patio flowers! I was really worried they’d all be wilted after I was gone for six days. But Dan kept them watered and they are all still going strong.)No need for cheese, because they are already ooey-and gooey. The BBQ sauce was a great blend of smoke and sweet. Dan is itching to try it on some steaks.
And of course, dessert. They had me (and LB! haha!) at Maple Flavoured Marshmallows – not to mention S’more ice cream sandwiches! Dear President’s Choice – you have my heart… ;P I haven’t tried the Coconut Milk Frozen Treat (it’s dairy free) – so watch my InstaStories because I’ll post when I do!
Sooooo – I’d love for you to join me, Colleen from Curtains are Open and Laura from My Life in the Sun along with President’s Choice for our Twitter Party on Wednesday.
We’ll be talking about summer bbq tips, recipes, back yard bashes and Canada 150 and, of course, we’ll be giving away prizes (like gift cards!) so you can stock your fridge and freezer for your next big bash.
RSVP Below and I hope to see you there!
